Hi everyone, I’m Charlee and for those who don’t already know, I own and operate Black Pearl & Co. Earlier this year, I had a vision to create a space where talented people could share their knowledge and skills, and bring together the best looks around. From here, I re-launched the salon as ‘Black Pearl & Co’.
Since re-branding, I thought it would be best to re-introduce the team to everyone! I’ll start with myself…
I have been a hairstylist for more than 30 years now, and running a salon for almost 20.
I look at hairdressing as science and an art form. I’m truly passionate about transforming looks by sculpturing shape into hair and developing the perfect colour for each and every one of my clients.
Harti here is one of our Principal Stylists who has been with us for many years now.
Harti is mad about hair, and enjoys doing everything from cuts to colours, to up-dos for those special occasions.
He combines technical and creative expertise with his classical training, helping to create a fresh, contemporary and personalised style for his clients.
Shane is another one of our Principal Stylists who has been with us for a while now. Shane has been in the hairdressing industry for over 25 years now, and when you’re in his chair, everything is centered around you!
Shane focuses on one client at a time, working one-on-one with you to bring your hair dreams to life.
His approach to hairdressing will ensure you leave with a perfectly fitting style that’s uniquely you.
Laura has recently joined us at Black Pearl, and she has quickly become a favourite with many local Wellingtonians!
Laura loves getting to know her clients, and giving them a look that will turn heads – it’s the best part of her job.
With years of experience in the industry, Laura is passionate about bringing her artistry to her clients and giving them something that brings joy and leaves them feeling fabulous.
Carlie is our part time Creative Stylist in the salon, and she loves creating gorgeous hair for her amazing clientele.
Carlie specialises in giving you the hair you want while making it easy to fit it into your busy schedule.
As an experienced hair stylist, she is skilled at creating a stunning colour to accentuate your stylish cut, while keeping you on track with your day.
Finally we have Viet, who is an up-and-coming junior stylist in his fourth year of hairdressing.
Viet is working hard at Black Pearl and excited to be learning and putting new techniques into practice.
Viet appreciates being part of a highly skilled and experienced team, and enjoys assisting the other stylists to bring clients a truly great experience.
